At 7:30 a.m., we will begin our boat trip on the Inírida River until we reach the town of Amanaben, the southern river star or Humboldt and Maviso star, to take a short swim in its red, cold waters on the banks of the Guaviare River, passing by the mouth of the Inírida River on the Guaviare River, the Amarru rock park, and the artisan community of Coco. We will return to the city of Inírida for lunch. Afterward, we will depart up the Inírida River to the Cerros de Mavecure, impressive rocks in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, bordered by the winding river. We will arrive at the indigenous community of El Venado where we will find our camp with comfortable malokas typical of the indigenous culture, perfectly located in the middle of the three hills on the banks of the Inirida River. They have beds, a camping area and a hammock area, permanent solar energy, bathrooms and changing rooms for ladies and gentlemen, a kitchen, a dining room, a beach, a rock slab, a star viewing area, and large gardens. Depending on the weather, we will begin our ascent of Pajarito Hill. Upon descent, we will head to the camp to take a quick bath and have dinner. Campfire, canelazo, and stars.

Very early in the morning (5:00 a.m.), after a light breakfast and under the guidance of our indigenous guide, we will climb Cerro Mavecure or Cerro Pajarito (depending on what we did the day before), then return, have breakfast, and continue our journey along the Inírida River until we reach the majestic Zamuro and Cualet rapids. There, we will walk along the riverbank to the upper part of the Cualet rapids, where we will appreciate the immensity of its waters and take a short, refreshing swim. Afterward, we will return to the community of Zamuro to enjoy a delicious traveler’s sandwich and return to the community of Venado, where we will spend the night again.

Early in the morning, under the guidance of our indigenous guide, we will visit the community of Remanso and then hike the Densicoira trail, which runs along Cerro Pajarito until it reaches Laguna Clara (approximately 3 hours). There, our boat will pick us up and take us to the camp for breakfast. Then we will head to the cold waters and red wine produced by the tannin from the leaves of the trees in the Caño San Joaquin jungle to take a bath and return to camp for lunch and begin our return to the city of Inírida. On the way, we will stop at the community of La Ceiba to learn about the Angelita bee project and typical crafts of the culture, the mouth of the Caño Matraca, and observe the toninas or freshwater dolphins.

At the end of the afternoon, we will be back in the city of Inírida. Dinner and night at the Toninas Hotel.

We will begin our journey from the city of Puerto Carreño, passing through the park’s administrative center and traveling along the Anaconda trail until we reach Pozo Azul, where we will take a short swim before heading to the Tambora and Garcitas Center for lunch. Afterwards, we will take 4×4 vehicles to Cerros la Bandera to watch the sunset at the mouth of the Meta River on the Orinoco. We will pass through the streams and savannas of Vichada. Afterwards, we will transfer to the Hotel el Lago in Puerto Carreño where we will have lunch and then transfer to the airport to catch our flight to the city of Bogotá.

In the morning, after breakfast, we will climb Cerro Guahibo for a wonderful view of Tuparro National Natural Park, its savannas, jungle, and rivers. Then we will visit the indigenous cemetery before returning to camp for lunch. After a short rest, we will make our official presentation at the visitor center, where officials will give us a short presentation about the park and recommendations. We will take a boat up the Tuparro River to its first rapids, where we will have time to swim and appreciate this spectacular, remote, and inhospitable landscape. We will descend the river again in life jackets (optional) to our camp on the banks of the Orinoco River, have dinner, and spend the night.
